It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates.
Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks.

Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. A great conversation piece as others will probably want to know how you did it all.Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days.

The DIY install will leave you proud of the work you've done. Over time the bond becomes stronger and the water you used will evaporate completely. Should anything come up in the few hours after install, just use heat immediately to press it down. Do not use a squeegee or anything else that could potentially scratch the material. Center the overlay up on the hood scoop and start pushing out all the water / soap with your fingers. Start at the very back of the hood scoop. If it would burn you, it will probably burn the material. Just make sure you use small amounts of heat and work you way up. Using heat from a hair dryer or heat gun will be essential. Our pre-mixed StickerFab Fluid works THE BEST. This will allow you to slide the vinyl around, but will require the use of heat to really make it stick. The easiest way to apply this is to wet the back of the vinyl. INSTALLATIONĬlean the surface of the hood. Semi Gloss Black is US sourced Avery brand and Matte Black is from Orafol which is a German company. Rated EXCELLENT for WATER RESISTANCE, HUMIDITY RESISTANCE, and SOLVENT RESISTANCE. Minimum application temperature is 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The air egress liner also aids in large graphic application. This repositionable permanent adhesive offers minimal initial bond growing to permanent bonds that facilitates application of large graphics. This film has excellent dimensional stability, outstanding durability and outdoor performance. Dragon Wrap™ Carbon Fiber Films (3D Carbon) is a 5.6 mil calendered vinyl film featuring a clear repositionable permanent acrylic adhesive on an air-egress liner. I use premium vinyl which has high initial costs, but are the industry standards for high quality materials. When purchasing vinyl overlays, keep in mind that not all materials are created equally. It maintains even spacing and the reason for this will be clear during installation. It runs parallel to the front of the hood scoop.
